Art of the Sunday Creek Community – Now Showing: The Rendville Art Works

If you’ve passed through downtown Glouster lately you may have noticed a colorful change in the windows of the Sunday Creek Watershed Group. In contrast to the dull and dingy winter waging war on our senses outside, Art of the Sunday Creek Community has been brightening the view for locals and travelers alike for over two months now.

As a way to celebrate local artists and their work, the Sunday Creek Watershed has dedicated their storefront display space as a rotating gallery open to all local artists. The first month saw amazing work by local painter, woodworker, and clock maker Tim Lemoine whose masterful brushwork and seamless segmented bowls brought a ton of folks in the front door to find out more.

This month, Sunday Creek is featuring work by the artists of the Rendville Art Works. A veritable artist colony just north of Corning, the Rendville Art Works is a studio space for local adults with disabilities who can be found there each day working on their creations which also line the walls of the studio when they’re not hanging at gallery shows across the region. Stop by and take a look at our sampling of the amazing paintings and sculpture then make the short trek up to the studio for the full experience. Nearly all pieces are for sale and 100% of each sale goes directly to the artist! Come on in to the Sunday Creek office to find out more.

And don’t forget! Sunday Creek is looking for new artists to display their work each month, so if you, or someone you know, would like a storefront display to advertise their artistic vision to the world then contact Brian Blair at the Sunday Creek office today at 740-767-2225 or brian@sundaycreek.org.

Share your work with the world and help bring some color to downtown Glouster!
