Monday Creek at the Moonshine Festival

The Monday Creek Restoration Project (MCRP) entered a float in the New Straitsville Moonshine Festival Parade on May 25. Using a hay wagon loaned by a watershed resident, the float depicted a canoe trip down Monday Creek. Tim and Marion Neal graciously offered their back yard as a staging area to store the wagon and build the float. Brian, along with new Monday Creek staffer Nathan Schlater, Tim Neal and his grandaughter, Weston Johnson and Mike Steinmaus decorated and painted the float on the day of the parade. Nathan also helped to pull the float in the parade. Tim Neal's grandchildren rode alongside Brian and Weston during the parade route.
