Soup for the Soul

United Campus Ministry announces a new weekly program, "Soup for the Soul," beginning January 22 and running through February 19. The public is invited for soup & discussion about the spiritual side of sustainability. Special guests throughout the quarter will reflect on their own spiritual journeys. A free light soup lunch is provided. This week's guest is Sonia Marcus, Sustainability Coordinator from Ohio University’s Office of Sustainability.

Quickbooks – Advanced Workshop

These courses will take the advanced user step-by-step through the essentials of mastering QuickBooks. In the advanced session, participants receive a look at QuickBook’s more advanced features and an opportunity for hands-on practice.

The workshop costs $35 per person; continental breakfast and lunch provided.

Winter Hike in the Hocking Hills

Join the Buckeye Forest Council for a hike, discussion and fun. Refresh yourself, and be part of action to protect Ohio's forests. Come on out and bring a friend!

Follow the directional signs to the BFC Gathering shelterhouse at Ash Cave accessed by State Route 56 east of Laurelville. Paul Knoop, Naturalist Consultant will lead a group hike. This is a winter hike and conditions are hard to predict. Bring along water and please remind everyone in your group to layer up for this hike. Hot chocolate, tea, coffee and cookies will follow the hike.

There will be a carpool driving to Ash Cave the morning of the hike. They’ll be meeting at the Athens Community Center at 11:00 AM. Call (1.866.OH.TREES) or email (david@buckeyeforestcouncil.org) for more information.
