Hocking Hills Winter Hike
by Tori Patterson, AmeriCorps VISTA Leader

Rural Action volunteers helped out at the Hocking Hills State Park Winter Hike this past weekend in early observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. The group assisted park rangers and naturalists in keeping over 2,500 hikers safe and happy, while enjoying the park themselves.

Suzanne Fisher, Brian Blair, Tori Patterson, and Rose Roe represented Rural Action’s VISTA program and were joined by volunteers Christa Rice, Garrett Bunyak, and Brandon Stephens. The photo to the left shows some of the group at the Cedar Falls ice formation from the hike.
