Fun Facts

We know that for many Rural Action members, every day is Earth Day. So, on the day after Earth Day, we are recognizing that honoring our Earth should happen all year long. Beginning this week, CO2Stats will measure The Rambler's carbon footprint, based on how many people visit the site, and offset that amount of emissions by purchasing carbon offsets, which will be invested in alternative energy. Sure, over time The Rambler may only offset a few pounds of carbon, but every little bit counts, right? You can monitor our success by viewing the green box labeled "Green Website" on the right side of the screen.

Here are some more fun ways to celebrate a (belated) Earth Day online:

Wired published beautiful pictures of our Earth to honor the day. One of these amazing pictures is shown at the left. Click Here to view the rest of the pictures.

Visit GreenDimes.com and stop your junk mail FOREVER!! Whoo hoo!

Increase your climate-change knowledge by getting the facts straight from the scientists--without all the political and economic factors that tend to skew the facts. RealClimate.org is a commentary site on climate science by working climate scientists for the interested public and journalists. They aim to provide a quick response to developing stories and provide the context sometimes missing in mainstream commentary.
