Volunteer Opportunities

Every Weekend in October:
Volunteers are needed for the Federal Valley Resource Center Haunt. The Haunt will run October 5-7, 11-14, 18-21, 25-28, and on Halloween. Hours are 7-11 on Friday and Saturday, and 7-10 on Thursday and Saturday. If you are interested in acting or volunteering in the haunt, contact Emily Beveridge at ew277002@ohio.edu, or call 740-707-7208.

Ongoing:
Community Food Initiatives is looking for 1-2 volunteers to help at the CFI Donation Station on Saturdays at the Athens Farmers Market. The volunteers will help record food donations and organize and move donated food to local pantries and non-profit organizations in the area. For info contact Ronda at cfi@frognet.net or
740-593-5971.

Become an American Red Cross (ARC) Disaster Response Volunteer! This is a long-term commitment that would involve training in an area you choose: client casework, damage assessment, or mass care. Trained ARC volunteers would then be able to assist with local and national disasters as well as local house fires. This training is a valuable skill that you can use to help with disasters anywhere in the U.S. Learn more at our Make a Difference Day Project on Saturday, October 27 from 10am-2pm at the Rural Action Trimble Office. This is an introductory orientation to ARC.
