AMSTERDAM, Holland, A pet shop owner in Southern Holland recently invented a special beer for canine consumption. The inventor, Terrie Berenden, came up with the idea when she was hunting with her Wiemaraner in Austria.

Berenden recalls “at the end of the day we would sit on the verandah and drink a beer. So we thought, my dog also has earned it."

The new product has been appropriately named Kwispelbier, literally meaning “wagging tail beer” in Dutch.

The beer is being sold for $2.14 per bottle, four times the price of a bottle of Heineken in Holland.
