Action Opportunity

For this week’s Action Opportunity, we encourage you to contribute to earthquake relief efforts in Indonesia. Phil Siegrist, who currently serves with Rural Action as an AmeriCorps*VISTA member, spent two years teaching English in Yogyakarta, one of the cities affected by the earthquake. "The scope of the devastation is enormous. One colleague from Yogyakarta said that it felt like the earthquake lasted twenty minutes. The house I used to live in started falling down just after my friends got out," he said.
