Children’s Poet to Visit Nelsonville-York Elementary School
Charley Hoce, a Nelsonville-York graduate and author of Beyond Old MacDonald, is coming to Nelsonville-York Elementary School’s Library Media Center. Meet him on November 18 at 6:30 p.m. for a poetry reading and book signing.

Get Creative Contest
The Sunday Creek Watershed Group is still accepting entries for the “Get Creative” art contest. “We invite you to capture the beauty of the Sunday Creek watershed on film, canvas, in words, or through whatever medium you choose,” said Cara Hardesty, the group’s coordinator. To qualify, submissions must be emailed to or dropped off at the organization’s office at 69 High Street in Glouster by November 18, 2005. For complete contest rules, call 740-767-2225.

Sunday Creek Public Meeting
The Sunday Creek Watershed Group will be hosting a public meeting at the watershed office at 69 High Street in Glouster.  The potluck begins at 6:30p.m.  From 7:30-8:30p.m. Carlen Emanuel from The Nature Conservancy will be presenting about the American Chestnut and efforts to return it to this area.
