Member Spotlight

Our member spotlight this week shines on Ellyn Burnes. Ellyn hails from White Plains, New York but moved to Athens County in the late sixties to attend college. She became involved with Rural Action because of the work they are doing to revitalize the watersheds in our area. Ellyn also finds they work of our Environmental Learning Program extremely important. She believes that teaching good stewardship at an early age is the most promising way to ensure a healthy environment in the future.
Ellyn has four grown children and has taken this opportunity to go back to college. Her favorite season is fall and most days you can find her hiking the Hocking Hills or some other wooded wonderland our area has to offer. We sure do appreciate her support and would like to thank her for helping us renew our communities.
