Volunteer Opportunities

Make a Difference Day
We need volunteers to help wield hammers for emergency repair to two Athens county homes. We will be working on November 4th. To get more information and to sign up to be a part of this effort contact Stephanie Craddock at stephanie@ruralaction.org.

Opportunities in Rural Action’s Media Team- Photographer/Videographer: Film or photograph Rural Action events. You’ll build your portfolio while contributing to the community!- Photo Archivist: Activities for the photo archivist include the cataloging of images and archival material by organizing and placing the image into a photo database.For more information, send an email to sara@ruralaction.org .

Rural Action’s Environmental Learning Program
Rural Action’s ELP is looking for volunteers to help with their exciting projects; dates vary. They need face painters, puppeteers and general adult helpers for their children’s events. To get involved please contact Diane Wiktorowski at dianew75@hotmail.com.

Katrina Relief
AmeriCorps alumni are being asked to consider returning to service in the Gulf States as part of the massive recovery efforts after the recent hurricanes. If you are a former AmeriCorps member interested in the opportunity, please and complete an online form. At this point, volunteers are being assembled and needs are being determined. Once you are entered into the volunteer database, you will be contacted with opportunities to help.
