Medicinal Herb Cultivation Tour
Please join us on Saturday September 17, 2005 for a forest walk and tour of medicinal herb cultivation at the Rural Action Research and Education Center in Rutland, Ohio. The tour is from 10:00 am until 12:00. For more information or directions please call 740-742-4401.

“Tour of Rural Action”
Would you like to know more about Rural Action? How about getting a friend involved? If you would like to know more about our organization or are trying to figure out how to get a friend involved, come to our one-hour “Tour of Rural Action”. This “Tour” is an open house that will make you laugh, cry and fall in love (with our organization, that is). We are offering two tours in September, the first of which is Monday September 19th, 5:00 pm at our Trimble office. The second will be held at the Wells Public Library in Albany on September 27th. Huff Run Watershed Restoration Partnership Meeting
September 20 at 5:30 pm at the Mineral City Legion Hall. Please mark your calendars! We will be renewing memberships! Join us.

Old-Fashioned Farm Day
Saturday, September 24th, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
This special event will feature a craft show and flea market, demonstrations on cider, apple butter and broom making, not to mention homemade cider, beans and cornbread. Also featured: special fall items such as pumpkins, gourds, and corn shocks. Let the kids frolic in the pumpkin patch while you listen to live music and enjoy the wonderful products this region has to offer. Following the festivities there will be a special Saturday Produce Auction starting at 5:00 pm. So load up the truck and come on down - this will be a day you will not want to miss. See ya there!

Sunday Creek Watershed Group's Monthly Public Meeting
September 28th, Potluck at 6:30p.m at the SCWG office. Meeting runs from 7-8:30p.m. Speaker is yet to be announced. Please join us for this event; it is free and open to the public.

Rural Appalachian Housing Development
Is having its first annual golf scramble on October 8, 2005 at the Forest Hills golf course. For more information contact Kathy at 767-2005. "Big" Jim will be taking pictures and having fun with everyone.
